How to Cut Your Man's Hair
Jason absolutely hates going to the barber to get his hair cut which means he always puts it off for way too long, waiting until his hair has gotten absolutely huge and I am nagging him on an hourly basis about getting it cut. He's told me on numerous occasions that it would be a lot easier if I'd just cut it for him, but neither of us have ever felt particularly confident about the outcome of that scenario. Well, yesterday afternoon this scene unfolded exactly like it has many times before only this time, I was bored and particularly ready for him to get rid of his mop head, so I called him on his bluff and told him I'd do it.
Once I got down to thinking about the logistics of how I was actually going to pull off a hair cut having no experience beyond seeing it done before, I started to get a bit nervous. But then I reminded myself of all the times I'd done something new in the past. I thought, 'Mica, what did you do when you wanted to make your own flower arrangements for the wedding? Make mince pies? Learn a new Photoshop technique?' The answer was the same each time - YouTube! I told Jason I needed to watch a YouTube video before we got started so I'd know what to do. After a bit of searching, I came across the best tutorial ever - a video titled 'How to Cut Your Man's Hair':
Hilarious!
After being well educated, we got started. Before and after pictures are below. What do you think? How'd I do? I'm sure a professional could find many flaws, but at least it's not so awful that he needs to be embarrassed to got out in public.

Mica Why didn't you use the butch way? It would be a lot easier wouldn't it? Grandpa
It definitely would have been a lot easier, but then I wouldn't have been able to practice all the new techniques I learned on YouTube! :) I'll practice some more on Jason, then maybe the next time I see you, you'll let me give you a new style...??
