I love IKEA!!

Welcome to our first floor half-bath/laundry room/shoe removal area:


As you can kind of tell from this picture, this 5' x 5' room is barely even big enough to satisfy one of its prescribed functions, let alone all three. But, as we are learning, space is hard to come by in the city. Needless to say, the piles of shoes (admittedly mostly mine) were beginning to get on my nerves, so I set out in search of a better solution. When in search of innovative storage options there are really only two places to turn: IKEA and The Container Store - two of my favorite places on earth. For this particular task, I decided to pull out the big guns and headed straight for IKEA. I hadn't been in the store for more than 10 minutes when I found the answer to all of my problems. Allow me to introduce you to the "TRONES" shoe cabinet - capable of pulling off a little magic trick I like to call "disappearing shoes":

Isn't it one of the best things you've ever seen?! I think every household should have at least one. It's definitely the best $40 I've ever spent...er, rather, Jason has ever spent!
