Road Trip! - Lynton, Lymouth, & the Valley of Rocks
**I'm back! Finally prepared to finish up my posts about our road trip with John and Terry back in March. So much has happened since then - interviews, job offers, volcanic eruptions and a surprise trip home - but before I can get to any of that, I must finish what I started here!**

The Lynton & Lymouth Cliff Railway was built in 1890 as a means to connect the two towns and still operates today. From a nerdy engineering perspective, the railways is actually really interesting. I highly recommend checking out the 'How it Works' link on their site! Jason and Terry were particularly excited to ride it down into Lymouth.

Lymouth was a really cute little seaside village full of fun shops to wander through. As you can tell from how bundled up we are in the pictures, it was cold...and windy and rainy and nasty! Just how nasty was the weather?...even Jason and John didn't complain too much about spending the morning searching for treasures in the shops because it least it gave them a chance to thaw out a bit!
After a chilly morning of exploring, we headed back to the B&B to have some lunch and warm up a bit. Lunch was followed by an exciting game of Monopoly, after which we looked outside to see some hints of blue sky! Deciding to take advantage of the break in the weather, we set out for an amazing walk through the Valley of Rocks:
Can you spot the cute little baby sheep grazing on the side of the path?
Castle Rock...
...we decided we just had to climb it!
John even let Terry make the climb!!

Just how windy is the Devon Coast? These trees tell the story!
Lynton, Lymouth, and the Valley of Rocks were definitely a picturesque corner of Devon that should not be missed!
