The 5 places I WILL visit while in Europe...
Over the next few years, this list is sure to grow. We're bound to hear about other places in Europe that are not to be missed and, in fact, I hope that people do share their recommendations with us. However, I have wanted to visit the following five places for years! That is why I am proclaiming now, with all of you as my witnesses, that I will not leave Europe without having visited:
1. The Cliffs of Moher, Ireland
Ireland is also well known for it's many castles, a few of which I will definitely visit while in the country. At the top of my list is Blarney Castle where I'll be sure to kiss the Blarney Stone!
2. Stonehenge, England
3. The Roman Baths, England
Yeah, yeah...the water looks pretty nasty but don't worry, I won't actually be bathing in it!
4. Rome, Italy
I still need to do some more research on Italy. I know there is much more to see there than just the Colosseum...I'm just not sure what that is yet. I've heard Florence is fantastic, so I'll probably need to stop there. I've also always had the desire to visit Sicily although I'm not exactly sure where that comes from. Perhaps it's due to the fact that I feel bad for Sicily always being described as the "ball" being kicked by the Italian "boot"...or maybe it's from listening to Sophia talk about it so fondly in all those Golden Girls episodes. Regardless, I think I'll stop to check it out!
5. Athens, Greece
And, I won't leave Greece until I've spent a few days on one or two of Greece's many islands:
What else should we be sure to add to our list?
