Just what the doctor ordered...
A few days ago, Jason and I came home to a notice that we had a package waiting for us at the post office. Since neither of us had ordered anything recently, we were particularly curious to find out what it was. First thing the next morning, we headed for the post office. Jason was on his way into work at the time and I was headed into town to run some errands, so we planned to just wait until that evening to open it, but that resolve only lasted about one block before I decided I couldn't wait any more and that we needed to open it right then and there, on the side of the road. What a great surprise it turned out to be! - an awesome care package from Dina, Miriam, and Charlie. (Thanks for making me cry in public guys!)
It contained all of our favorite treats from home that we can't find here. Cheez-Its, Stove Top Stuffing, Flipz (chocolate covered pretzels), RedVines, Milky Way candy bars, and peanut butter. YUM! (Is it bad that I've eaten nothing but licorice, flipz, and cheez-its today?)
There were also a few additional items. The star of the package for me was...
...a new 'Homie' to add to my collection! I won't go into the whole 'Homie' story here, mainly because it's a little long, but also because it's rather embarrassing. Let's just say that only your closest friends can know you well enough to bring on both tears and laughter with a one-inch tall plastic figurine! (Guys, not to sound unthankful or anything, but I really would have preferred the meat cleaver Homie...)
Also included in the package was a small pot of pink Play-Doh. Neither of us can quite figure out the story behind this one which I'm guessing probably means that it's Charlie's contribution to the package. Sometimes the similarities between he and Jason scare me (that's probably why they always get into so much trouble together...). It would be just like Jason to, when asked what he wanted to contribute to a care package, pick out the most random thing he could think of. Miriam, Dina, am I even close to guessing how the Play-Doh came to be included??
Thank you for thinking of us! We miss you guys too - come visit us!!

just what the doctor*s* ordered...
Mica and Jason,
So glad that we could make your day! I love how the package of red vines is already three-quarters empty in the picture! Actually, the play dough was Dina's idea... :)
I'm glad that you guys enjoyed and got a little spoiled along the way.
Play doh is fun...?
What the heck is a homie? I've never, ever heard of these things. I can't wait to google it.
Well, let's just say that I now know a lot more about something new. I see that you've just acquired "Mousey."
