What's in a name?

Why, you might ask, did we name our blog 'Our Own Little World'? We have our good friend Jamie to thank for that! It all developed from a brief conversation between Jason and Jamie that went something like this:

(music playing in the background)

Jamie: Jason, this song makes me think of you and Mica.

Jason: Why?

Jamie: Because the guy in the song gave his girlfriend her own ringtone...that's just like you and Mica.

Jason: What are you talking about!?

Jamie: You know...it just reminds me of how you and Mica are...you guys are just in your own little world.

Now, after some rehashing of the conversation, we've come to the conclusion that in her own way, Jamie was trying to compliment our relationship (I think...). Unfortunately, when I finally figured out what song she was referring to, I wasn't so thrilled. The part of the song she was referencing goes like this:

I love the way she calls my phone
She even got her very own ringtone
If that ain't love then i don't know what love is

But, what she didn't realize (I hope) was that the song's chorus consists of the following:

Take a look at my girlfriend
She's the only one i got
Not much of a girlfriend

The moral of the story is that we have elected not to adopt Gym Class Heros' "Cupid's Chokehold" as 'our' song...thanks for the suggestion though Jamie!

Since then, we've been unable to escape the joke that we are in 'our own little world', so I thought it only appropriate that we use it to name our blog.
